How to reconnect your Pay As You Go meter if it runs out of credit

You can reconnect your meter once you top up enough to bring your balance above £0. Before you reconnect, please switch off all appliances. 

If you have a traditional electricity meter

To switch your power back on, insert your payment key into the meter. Your power will come back on automatically. If it doesn’t or there’s an error message on your meter, please call us on 0330 175 9669. We’re available Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm, or 9am to 5pm on weekends.

If you have a traditional gas meter

To switch your power back on, insert your payment card into the meter. You’ll be asked to press and release button “A”. This will turn the gas back on.
